I am currently fixated on the Sutter Homes "Build a Better Burger" contest! While the details of the contest for 2011 have yet to be disclosed, I am already clicking my heels in my kitchen trying to create a sinfully, magical hamburger.
My grandmother owned a small cafe for well over 50 years in East Texas. It was in that cafe that I experinced my first and still to date, best burger I have ever had! It was a surreal moment really. A tender toasted bun with fresh, seasoned ground beef with fresh lettuce, tomato and homemade pickles. Not pretentious, just simply delicious.
I am a burger fiend. I have decided to make her proud (rest her sweet soul) and take on this montrous yet highly profitable contest.
